I feel deeply honored to be invited to AFW now as a jury member. I am looking forward to watching best Albanian films – short and feature – at the festival in New York. People like Mrika Krasniqi and brothers Alfred and Ernest Tollja every year organize this incredible event helping young filmmakers to break through on international level. I consider their work a huge contribution to Albanian culture overseas, said AFW Jury member, actress, musician, writer, director Amina Zhaman.
I was deeply honored to be asked to take part in The Jury of the prestigious Albanian Film Week. Albanian artists are some of the best in the world and their emerging cinema, wrought with tales of struggle, identity, and raw human complexity fits perfectly into my film philosophy of using darkness to show light,” said writer, director and AFW Jury member Jamal Hodge.
