Mutual understanding through visual art is exciting.
NY Elite: Tell us about one of your projects which you are very proud of.
Zin Lim: Show’s commercial success and acclamation through media are awesome fortune. But the most meaningful project is my art itself. I am proud of my endless experiments for complete composition and technique in order for efficient delivery of message to viewer.

NY Elite: What are you trying to communicate with your art?
Zin Lim: Do not dilute your strange thoughts, though anything can be considered as mistake. The each different idea is meaningful and no need to yield to entire consistency. Rather, collaboration of the trace is close to the truth you look for, which is also ever-changing.
NY Elite: What role does the Artist have in Society?
Zin Lim: Visual artist deliver mood and message that cannot be explained through words. Art can be a piece of big picture that reveal reality of human being and our society.
NY Elite: What are your thoughts on being an artist in today’s world?
Zin Lim: Artist is one of the most attractive jobs for whom want to make every decision by their honest belief and responsible for the responses. But for living, art market ask artist have different attitude for surviving. The biggest problem comes when artist fail to shift the mode between artist and self employed business. The complete separation of the two different life modes and the balance is hardest part, because the moment of creation is too exciting for artist to be away from it and cool down for business.
NY Elite: How has painting influenced your life?
Zin Lim: Painting has made me a lot more sensitive to visual information that I face in everyday life. There are a few wonderful moments I can notice the magic, such as; when a little stone has the reflected lights from sky and my hand, light cross over translucent skin and reveal hidden shapes and color, and how individual movements of people and car create rhythm in the street. I feel painting gave another sense for me to enjoy the beauty.
NY Elite: What kind of art is unappealing to you?
Zin Lim: Such artworks exceedingly lean to how it is shown to viewers with lack of integrity.
NY Elite: What art movement or artist would you say influences your work most?
Zin Lim: Automatism of early surrealists, Bay Area Figurative Movement and artist, Francis Bacon.
