Also previously known as Luvee, a crossover Rapper/Singer under the collaborative efforts of some industry greats released her much buzzed about single “Bossy” and its official music video New Years Day 2014 available on iTunes… she has since postponed her music ambitions as her theatrical career and silver screen ambitions have taken precedence.
Don’t let her on-camera looks and talents fool you, as when she is not front and center, she chooses a path of philanthropy, primarily assisting within the homeless community of Los Angeles. She decided to take her efforts much further than ever fathomed by producing and directing a feature length documentary film. The film explores the struggles and triumphs, of a group of homeless men playing in league basketball.

Meet the Artist: Interview with Jessica Rizo
NY Elite: Tell us a little about yourself and your career beginnings.
Jessica Rizo: I started my acting career in 2005 booking my first National Commercial for Holiday Inn Express. It was beyond exciting and propelled my career from that point on. I immersed myself in the top acting schools in Los Angeles, and never looked back.
NY Elite: What projects are you currently working on?
Jessica Rizo: I am working on finishing my directorial debut Documentary, A New Day, which has been 3 years in the making filled with blood sweat and tears. Chronically the journey of a group of homeless men playing in league basketball on a road to recovery. A very compelling, heart felt and often time heart wrenching story very close to me I can’t wait to share with the world.
I also shot an episode of a new hit TV series from Sony & Netflix, One Day At A Time, I am hoping to come back next season for sure. It was amazing working with industry greats like Rita Moreno.
NY Elite: What has been your favorite film play you have been part of?
Jessica Rizo: I had the pleasure of shooting an indie film titled Assassins Code in Denver Colorado over the course of a two month span. I was the leading lady, and though the film somewhat fell apart in post, I was able to sink my teeth into a serious role, for the first time, and worked with some amazing actors. It definitely set my theatrical career in motion.
NY Elite: What other types of movies would you be interested in filming?
Jessica Rizo: Currently I am exploring a career in stand up comedy believe it or not, as I am being groomed by a successful comedic agent in the industry who sees great potential I myself overlooked focusing on a dramatic career. I have a very witty sense of comedy and tend to make people laugh unconsciously so why not.
NY Elite: What hidden talents do you have?
Jessica Rizo: I used to be a landscape designer for a couple years, designing some of the most amazing properties all over bel air and beverly hills.
NY Elite: What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?
Jessica Rizo: I would tell an aspiring actor DO THE WORK…. show up on time, get in class, take your headshots and GRIND GRIND GRIND… create your own content, focus and discipline prevail, and frankly as cliche at it is never give up, there will be ups and downs but those that can weather the storm will come out on top.
NY Elite: What can we expect from you in 2017?
Jessica Rizo: 2017 started off strong with two national commercials, and one coming up. Ready for episodic season to take off and land myself a series regular on this seasons hottest show.
