Michael A. Nardi was born and raised in Steger, Illinois. Now living in Valparaiso, Indiana. He works as a Correctional Officer for the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana; where he patrols and maintains safety, observes and monitors inmate activities. His passion is acting and films. His recent project was “Summer of 67”. His other notable work includes the film “Fences”.
“My greatest accomplishment was landing the role as Soldier in the upcoming film “Summer of 67’”, where I got to be involved with one of the most powerful scenes in the film. I am passionate in becoming a successful actor. I have had the honor to be involved in the movie “Fences”, with Denzel Washington. NY Elite: What are your latest and current movie projects?
Michael A. Nardi: My latest movie project was the “Summer of 67’”, a story about the Vietnam War told for the perspective of the wives and girlfriends left behind.
NY Elite: Can you tell us about your character in the film?
Michael A. Nardi: I was a Vietnam Soldier who was out with his wife and friends looking for a good time, which wasn’t easy to do during the war.
NY Elite: What was it like working with the director?
Michael A. Nardi: Working with the director Sharon Wilharm was a blessing and a pleasure of mine. She has to be the sweetest person I have meet. Sharon was fun and very patient to work with.
NY Elite: What do you enjoy most about your acting career?
Michael A. Nardi: The most rewarding part of my acting career is being able to meet people and work with other talents such as mine.
NY Elite: What other hobbies and interest do you have?
Michael A. Nardi: I love to work out and practice Martial Arts. I enjoy writing scripts for movie ideas I have. I love to send my time with my wife and family.
NY Elite: What personal advice would you give to someone about impressing the directors during audition? How to audition?
Michael A. Nardi: My personal advice would be to make sure the lighting is right for the camera, so it will pick up a clear visual of your face. Make sure you speak loud and clear so the camera can pick up your words clearly. Do not look directly at the camera when bringing your script to life. Always present yourself with confidence.
NY Elite: What are the things in your life you are most grateful for?
Michael A. Nardi: I am most grateful for knowing My Lord Jesus Christ how has blessed me in becoming closer to my goals of acting. I am also grateful for have family and friends who support me in my acting career. I also am grateful for my ideal actor Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan in General Hospital, he takes his time out of his busy schedule to give me tips in becoming a successful actor such as himself.
