Having begun her career in marketing, Agnès Godey decided to follow her childhood dream and become an actress. She trained with Beatrice Brout and studied with Jack Waltzer from N.Y on the actor studio method.
Agnès Godey’s early roles include a feature film with Jean-Pierre Mocky ‘Murder on Honeymoon’, a French adaptation of ‘Love Boat’ from Pascal Lahmani, and also ‘The Heiress’ by Alain Tasma on French TV.
Agnès Godey has received many awards for her performance in ‘Vesper’, a short film by Keyvan Sheikhalishahi with German actor Götz Otto. She has also appeared in the multi award-winning web series ‘Gabriel’ by Gwendal Biscueil and also in comedy roles with famous Youtubers.
In the theater, she has appeared in ‘Murder in Cripple Creek’, a play by Arnaud Cordier for which she won the best supporting actress in the ‘ptits Molieres 2016’.

NY Elite: What are you latest and current movie projects?
Agnès Godey: My most recent movie projects was a historical feature film about the resistance in France in 1943, ‘NOX’ short film by Keyvan Sheikhalishahi and I am going to prepare a drama set in Algeria.
NY Elite: Can you tell us about your character in the film?
Agnès Godey: In ‘NOX’, my character is a manipulative woman but I can’t say more…
NY Elite: What was it like working with the director?
Agnès Godey: It was so great to work with Keyvan again, I met him in ‘Vesper’ and in a way we are growing up together, we keep in touch and often speak together, so I could say we’re some kind of accomplice and trust in each other.
NY Elite: In which movies have you played lead role?
Agnès Godey: In shorts film like ‘Vesper’ or ‘Christine’ by Raphaël Chiche.
NY Elite: Among all your roles so far, which has been your favorite one and why?
Agnès Godey: Maybe ‘Vesper’ with all the psychological aspects of my very complex character.
NY Elite: What do you enjoy most about your acting career?
Agnès Godey: Becoming someone else and having the experience of a new life.
NY Elite: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
Agnès Godey: Travelling & meditation.
NY Elite: Are you working on your next project now?
Agnès Godey: Next fall I will work on a film in which I play the presiding judge’s wife.
NY Elite: What personal advice would you give to someone about impressing the directors during audition? How to audition?
Agnès Godey: Forget who you are, just be the character.
NY Elite: What causes/charities you actively support or feel strongly about?
Agnès Godey: I feel strongly about violence against women.
NY Elite: What are the things in your life that you’re most grateful for?
Agnès Godey: I have changed all of my life to become an actress and I thank my husband for that.
