Proceeds from the single ‘His Noble Crown’ will go to Cruse Bereavement Support and Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity
World-renowned composer Olga Thomas and award-winning soprano Joanna Forest are set to release a brand-new single titled ‘His Noble Crown’ on Thursday, May 4th, to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. The single will be released under the label Arcava Music and all proceeds will be split equally between Cruse Bereavement Support and Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
Olga Thomas is a classical composer who has always been passionate about the Royal family and has been a supporter of both charities for many years. She has spent a lot of time and energy on behalf of Cruse Bereavement Support and has composed music for special events in the lives of the Royal Household. Olga is thrilled to continue this tradition for King Charles III.
Joanna Forest, who has worked with Olga on four singles in the past, described the collaboration as a ‘dream team’. The duo’s previous releases have gone straight to Number One in the classical single charts. Joanna hopes that the new single will bring joy and hope to everyone, especially the new king.
The single has been arranged by Michael Mc Dermott, who has worked with the Royal Marines Band and has vast experience writing for Royalty. The music producer is Tom Hodge, MBE, who has previously worked with the Royal Marines Band, and the lyrics are by Adam Fergusson.
The release of ‘His Noble Crown‘ comes at a critical time for Cruse Bereavement Support, which recently announced that its online chat service, Crusechat, will have to close after a challenging financial year. Fundraising for the charity is more vital than ever to prevent further reductions to their services.
Olga Thomas hopes that the single will continue to honor the Royal family and bring joy to everyone who listens to it. The composer had the honor of presenting her music to Her Majesty The Queen on a couple of special occasions and hopes to continue this tradition with King Charles III.
